Globe & Mail: Blue Velvet is a 'hot ticket'

Rehearsals are going well for Blue Velvet, the Fringe show I'm directing for the Bloor Cinema. Here's what Jennie Punter of the Globe had to say about the project:

"Inspired by success with shadow-cast screenings of cult fave The Rocky Horror Picture Show and newcomer Repo The Genetic Opera, the Bloor's energetic staff is mounting new shadow-cast productions of Jurassic Park, Blue Velvet and Once More, With Feeling (the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer). "We watched the process of the people developing the Repo show and saw how much fun they were having," says the Bloor's Alex Woodside. The curtain rises on all three shows during the Fringe Festival."

You can read the rest of her 'hot ticket' picks for the summer here.
